I said it. I said this year would be a year of good posts! Currently obsessing over this outfit. Perfectly casual and cute. I might not wear this to a big meal, but hey. I love the juxtaposition of the sweater paired with the sparkle skirt! I think it adds the right amount of texture. Another thing I love about this, For the shoes, you could either do a bootie like I did, or dress it up even more with a pair of nude patent pumps, which would also be awesome!

I am seriously loooooving these necklaces. I got them for Christmas and like I said, I’m obsessed. They are affordable and so freakin’ cute. I love the simple details because its totally different than all my other jewelry!

I hope that everyone has a great weekend!

Gift Guide: The Practical Friend

We all have that friend or family member that has everything under the sun. What’s the point of getting them a collection from Bath and Body Works when they already have every smell? There isn’t a point. So, how about some more practical options that you know will be small and simple gifts, yet greatly appreciated!

1. An umbrella. This cute designer umbrella is practical and inexpensive. Plus, who doesn’t love Marc Jacobs?

2.These super seasonal and fun socks. Everyone needs to wear socks. These are perfect under boots!

3. How about these super silky and sexy VS panties. Everyone needs panties…well most people. 😛

4. A hair set. This one is super amazing. All of Drybar’s products are fab and smell even better!

5. This amazing little compact mirror! Who doesn’t like to take a little peek at themselves during the day?

6. Some beautiful personalized stationary.

7. My absolute favorite holiday gift towers.

8. One of these awesome boxes!

9. Rosetta Stone would be a really amazing gift for someone who loves to travel but doesn’t need another sweater.

10. Gift cards. This is always a really questionable gift in my family. We have always felt that they were impersonal and really just not a present you would give to someone. Although, the older I get, the more appealing a gift card seems. Its hard to have people buy me presents now because it isn’t always what I want! I would be very happy receiving a gift card.

Hope this list helps out as Christmas gets closer and closer! Yay!

What’s on My Radar

This week has been HECTIC. For some reason, as the semester comes to a close, teachers are really piling up the work. Everything seemed so easy at the beginning of the semester and now, all the work is coming in like an avalanche. Great. At least its almost over. I have been so so sick the past few days with the WORST cough that I just can’t seem to kick. Anyone have any home remedies?

Anyway, since the weather finally started to get chilly, there are a few new things on my radar this week!

1. Teavana tea (my favs 1 & 2). Seriously, have you tried their tea?! It is soooo amazing. I am not a huge lover of tea but Teavana makes the most delicious tea! Always puts me in the mood for a cozy night in bed.

2. St. Tropez tanning mousse. Nobody likes to look like a Cullen. Well, I guess some people. That just isn’t for me though! I love a nice tan glow and St. Tropez gives the perfect glow without looking orange.

3. These pjs (pants & shirt). I have been LIVING in them. They are so amazing and cozy. Go buy a pair. Right now.

4. Kendra Scott. I have been loving her stuff for months now and every time I see anything, I feel obligated to buy it because I love it all.

5. My Chloe perfume smells so good. I want to swim in it.

6. I. Need. These. Pants. Don’t you think they are the cutest?! There are so many amazing outfits I could wear these with.

7. Cleaning out my closet. Sometimes it just feels really good to cleanse your closet and get rid of the old ratty tshirts with holes and the clothes that you just don’t wear! It’s freeing.

8. The new Moschino collection. YES.

9. Wildfox. I am adoring wild fox extra lately. Barbie is all the rage and I’m 100% ok with that.

10. This amazing brand. Their clothing and lingerie is beautiful!

Hope everyone has a great weekend. And stay warm.

LA iPhone Catch Up

So as you probably know, I was in LA this weekend for the Fashionista conference. And let me just say, it was great!!! There was a really awesome list of guest speakers and I enjoyed every minute of it. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any great pics. I only took my iPhone. So bear with me.

The conference was so amazing I don’t even know what to sum up. If you have more question about it, feel free to email me and I will fill you in on the details.

Along with the conference, I had an overall amazing weekend with Rachael. The first night I got there, we went to SoHo house. I have been wanting to go for SO long. It was a really great atmosphere and had to most beautiful view of LA. The food was great and so were the drinks. I wish I could go back everyday. We also did a little bit of shopping at the Grove, which was all decorated for Christmas! It was adorable. On Saturday, we went to The Nice Guy. Such a cool bar with the best scene. You think I’m kidding? We were rubbing shoulders with Miley Cyrus, Sarah Hyland, Rev Run, Joe Jonas and a few other celebs! It was awesome and so unexpected. Stars, they’re just like us. So true.

Missing LA today. Missing the beautiful weather and the beautiful people. Till next time.

Over the Knee and Through the River

Today I am leaving LA and I am so sad about it. Seriously crying. 😦 But the one thing that is consoling me is this awesome look. So I found this perfect short sleeve turtle neck at Target and I am obsessing. It is absolute perfection. It is so warm, but not too warm because of the short sleeves. It can either be dressed up or dressed down and I am really loving it with these OTK boots that are also from Target! My current favorites.

Where In The World Is the Brunette?!

Ok…obviously I have been a bit absent from the writing world. Part of my distance is do to the fact that I am still dealing with the reality that I am back in school and not basking in the grandiose LA lifestyle any longer. I am still extremely bitter when I think about the fact that I had to come home. Yes, everything and everyone is here in Reno but it just isn’t the same. I miss LA so much. I miss my friends, my work, my bosses, the food, the weather, the view, the drive to work everyday…I miss it all. I really do. BUT, theres nothing I can do about that now.

So, on a happier less LA-deprived note, I am back in Reno. WOOHOO….I am back in school taking 15 credits in hopes that I can finish and get myself to LA or better yet, take myself on a journey around the world. Not much is happening here, which is why blogging and writing are not nearly as appealing. After spending two months in the most exciting city, I have nothing to compare. Something that is exciting, I am still a vegan. To be honest, I am impressing myself with the lifestyle change. I have a hard time parting from my favorite pen let alone switching up my diet! Other than that, my life is filled with school and work. Fingers crossed that I can save up and get myself back to LA just for a weekend to reminisce!
